Water Connections ( Hook-ups)

Please be advised that not every lot in Williams Lake has a water connection already established.  This community was established in the 70's.  The Developer's original design of this community was not to include direct water or electric to the homes. When the households grew to about 60, the community got together to connect to a spring.  The system that was built was only meant for the existing 60 homes. We are now at 80+ homes. Please read details in the History section on the Water Board Home Page.  To find out if you may be able to get water, you need to submit an application to the board with a non-refundable $500 fee ( Form Link). Once determined a connection is possible, the lot owner is responsible for all fees, all County Permits (i.e. Electrical, plumbing, and building permits) as well as construction costs.  The Water Board is run by volunteer community members, this is not a county supported water board.  Granting and or denying access is strictly within this Water Board's jurisdiction. We will do our best within our means to accommodate new connections. However, please note that our first priority must be to existing home owners.

To drill a well or use water from the lake, a permit is required from the Idaho Department of Water Resources.

To haul in water, the container for such must to concealed from public view ( i.e.., contained within a structure).  In summary all water in Idaho is owned by the State.
