We have 3 dumpsters behind the firehouse for use of household waste. These are open dependent upon the weather.  Generally this is 4/15 through 10/31. There is a weekly pick-up April and October.  We are picking up 2 times per week from May through September. Lemhi Sanitation is the provider. Your annual fee is used to pay for this service.  This is not supported by the county.

Rules for Use

 

Space is limited in the hottest months. Please respect that others in the community are depending on using the dumpsters. If you are putting in boxes, please break them down.  Please do not place yard clippings in these dumpsters. You can take them to Lemhi Sanitary Landfill which is only a few miles away, or If you need to have them burned, contact Rick Morgan- Fire Chief for support.  We also accept aluminum cans, if you can, compress them as well.  Please take all toxic waste or anything extremely large to the landfill. They will not pick-up items left outside the dumpsters. If you leave it there you are just creating work for others.

Also, this is cow country.  We do our best with fencing and cattle guards, but cows are legally allowed to roam in this area.  Please be advised if any harm comes to the cows inside your property you will be responsible to the owner.
